The Only Thing I Have To Say About Gamer Gate

Quoting from Felicia Day's tumblr post linked above:

That's it.  This must end.  This GamerGate shit must end.  What good has it done?  What good can it do?  Can anything that expresses a connection to GamerGate have any positive affect?  No.  It's much more likely that anything having to do with GamerGate will be instantly connected with the vile and constant harassment of the worst kind that has gotten the bulk of the media attention.  Shut it down.  Stop GamerGate now.  Restart it under a different banner with new people dedicated to not making deplorable threats against people that do nothing to further the movement.  Shut it down.  Stop GamerGate.

    #stopislam because some Muslims murder and threaten others, so that must mean since they claim to be part of Islam, all Muslims must be stopped, regardless of what Islam represents for all the non-offenders! #supresswhatyoudontlikebasedonextremistsactions

    Islam has advocates and leaders that show the good works and positive impact that the religion has. What good works and positive impact does GamerGate have? Are such works possible in light of the movements overwhelmingly negative image?

    Also, I put my name and reputation behind what I say. Why don't you?
