Project Blow Up An ATM

For the past two months I've been having to get up early to do shit for people things that are their responsibility to do.  This is something that I can do nothing about, say nothing about, and will continue to go on untill the people with some real influence over this situation finally does something about it.  Unfortunately since these people are seemingly allergic to the doing of things, it is my honest belief that I will have to continue to get up early to do shit for people things that are their responsibility to do untill time ends.

This situation has made Project Buy A House even more of a priority for me.  I don't want to buy a Playstation 4, I don't want to buy a Wii U, I don't want to buy a new iPad, I don't want to get new underwear even though I am in need of new underwear, I WANT TO BUY A FUCKING HOUSE BECAUSE WHEN I BUY A FUCKING HOUSE I CAN FINALLY BE IN COMPLETE CONTROL OF WHEN I FALL ASLEEP AND WHEN I WAKE UP!

Over Twenty Bank ATMs Were Lately Blown Up In Russia To Get Cash

Huh.  You know, I'm about five thousand dollars away from at long last amassing enough money for a downpayment for a house.  Hmmmmmmmmmm.  Interesting.

Project Make A Political Statement

Since I started pursuing Project Buy A House, I haven't been doing a lot of protest buying.  Protest buying is where you buy a product as a form of political statement.  Sure I switched from Coke to Pepsi last year due to Pepsi's support for the Human Rights Campaign, but all that has resulted in is me spending the same amount of money on one product as opposed to another.  I'd like to use my wallet to make my voice known, but buying a house is a long term goal of mine that I am damn sure going to accomplish.

The Sims 4 rated 18+ in Russia for same-sex relationships

I'm buying The Sims 4.  I don't care if I can or cannot run the game on my current laptop, I'm buying this game.  Okay, I might hold off untill later this year, since I am very close to finally having enough money saved up for a downpayment for a house, buy I am buying this game.  Maybe.  Perhaps.  Hopefully.  Maybe.

Why We Need Good Stories

There was a point in the year 2011 where people were wondering why all this attention was being given to the wedding of Price William and Kate Middleton.  I'll admit, I was one of those people.  It wasn't untill later on that I grew an appreciation for just such a story.

In the months before the wedding the Libyan Civil War was going on, the Syrian Civil War had just started, the earthquake and subsequent nuclear disaster started happening in Japan, the Egyptian Revolution was coming to a head, and there was a suicide bombing at a prominent airport in Moscow.  Given all the news that had happened, the world needed a break.  The world needed a news story that was purely good, and the Royal Wedding provided that good news story.  Yes the wedding itself was extravagant and, to some, overly garish, but that's part of what made this story good.  The Royal Wedding gave people a reason to sit and look at something beautiful for a couple of hours, as opposed to all the ugliness that was in the world.

An argument can be made that we need such a news story now.  With the Crimean Conflict, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and the recently revealed human rights abuses in North Korea, we need a break.  We need a story that speaks to the good of humanity.  We need a story of a person overcoming a great personal tragedy.  We need a beautiful story we can look for a couple of hours, as opposed to all the ugliness in the world.

Michael Bay Is A Hack, And That's Just Fine

Most people view Michael Bay's cinematic work as a fucking joke.  Movies like Transformers, The Rock, Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor are viewed by many as an unrealistic string of choreographed explosions made for the sole enjoyment of pyromaniacs and anarchists.  While I agree with this sentiment, I commend Michael Bay for going completely over the top with the explosions in his movies.  If the explosions in Michael Bay's movies were realistic, they would be either boring or reminiscent of actual events.
