Ideally

I'd be on a couch

A soft and warm one

I'd have fallen asleep

Watching some less than satisfying drama

I'd be asleep

Only to wake up later and go to sleep again

I'd be alone, but okay with it

At least for the time being

Ideally I'd be temporarily asleep

But I'm not

Instead I'm awake because of things outside my control

Now you know why I'm pursuing Project Buy A House

I want to put myself in my ideal

I want to put myself

On that couch

Soft and warm

Asleep

I want to put myself to sleep
