With differing connections

Stunned

Both physical and emotional connections

Stunned

Differing reactions, both of the kind of reaction

Stunned

And of the impact of that reaction

Stunned

But there is one amongst them

Stunned

One who feels the impact most of all

Stunned

One who is rocked to her very core

Stunned

One who perhaps thought she was prepared

Stunned

But when it actually happens

Stunned

No one can blame her reaction

Stunned

In fact, even though we don't want to admit

Stunned

Deep down, when that time comes

Stunned

We all hope there is someone in our lives

Stunned

Who would react the same way

Stunned

Not that we would inflict this upon them

Stunned

But, in a way, it's comforting to know

Stunned

That someone is there

Stunned

Someone who cares enough for us

Stunned

Someone who is close enough to us

Stunned

That when that time comes
