Last night during the first game of the NBA Finals, the air conditioning in the home of the San Antonio Spurs, the AT&T Center, malfunctioned, resulting in sweltering conditions that affected both the players and the fans watching the game inside the arena. At the end of the third quarter of the game, the San Antonio Spurs released the following statement about the malfunction:
“An electrical failure for the power that runs the AC system in the AT&T Center has occurred. We are continuing to work on resolving the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
However, this appears to not be the first draft of that statement. Late on Thursday night, a memo leaked of what was circulated among Spurs' management as they began addressed the situation involving the air conditioning. The memo consisted of a singular link to the video embedded below:
